Aren't you incentivized to risk my job offer?

No, because our service includes supporting you to negotiate inside your role as well. While we charge on the upside of the offer negotiation we sustain our business profitably by building a long term relationship with you and advancing your career in the long term.

When should I apply?

You should apply when you are starting to look for a new full time position. The strategy for your negotiation begins as soon as you reach out to a company. If you’re already negotiating we can still help, but please reach out ASAP since your need is time sensitive.

Who qualifies?

STEM PhDs and postdocs who are entering industry or STEM PhDs working in technology, quant finance, and bio-technology. Senior software engineers or higher level, typically 7 or more years of experience.

How do you work?

If I’m experienced at negotiating is it worth it?

We have helped professionals with 20+ years of experience negotiate better than they would on their own. We have done L9 offer negotiations worth tens of millions of dollars. That being said, we can’t guarantee our impact, which is why we have a Pay What You Think is Fair Guarantee. If you don’t agree we had an impact outside of what you would have done on your own, then Rora is free.

Can I lose my offer from negotiating?

Yes, it is possible. We have the data to know that it is exceedingly rare, less than 1% of the time. Your risk also depends on how you negotiate – we identify the signals when you are at risk, and manage that risk appropriately.
